Agriculture has been the primary focus of my entire life. I was raised on my family’s beef cow-calf and backgrounding operation in Washington County, Kentucky. I was involved in 4-H and FFA in middle and high school. This allowed me to work on multiple projects and serve in various leadership positions in both organizations. After graduating at the top of my class from Washington County High School in 2014, I attended the Missouri Auction School with a focus on agricultural auctions before attaining licensure as an apprentice auctioneer. After beginning the process of attaining my principal auctioneer license, I went on to attend the University of Kentucky with a major in Agricultural Economics. During my time at UK, I became involved in activities and organizations that reflect my passion for agriculture and skill as a leader, namely Alpha Gamma Rho-Omicron and the Agricultural Student Council at the College of Agriculture, Food and Environment.
After attaining my Principal Auctioneer license in 2016 and graduating with honors from the University of Kentucky in 2017, I became licensed as a Real Estate Sales Associate and began the process of completing the requirements for the Real Estate Broker’s License while working in agricultural and residential real estate. I became licensed as a Kentucky Real Estate Broker in September of 2019 and became the Principal Broker of Carney Land Brokers, LLC in December of the same year.
